Professional Development Lunch and Learn – June 5

Are you a Woo, Achiever, or Includer?  If you’ve heard those terms before, you’re probably one of the nine million people who have taken Gallup’s StrengthsFinder 2.0 assessment.  Hear consultant, Christine Caves talk about how you can impact your success by simply leveraging your individual talent in a way that makes you a stand-out and improve your career and life satisfaction.  Christine Caves will be our guest speaker at our next PD event held Thursday, June 5 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Monsanto Company, 2500 Wiggens Road.  Lunch will be served.  This event is free to YPN paid members and Monsanto employees and $5 for non-members.  So, mark your calendars now for this great opportunity!

Pitch, Hit & Run – Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed to help with baseball event! The Muscatine Parks and Recreation will host a free Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run Competition for area boys and girls on Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kent Stein Park, Field #15.

Pitch, Hit and Run is the Official Skills Competition of Major League Baseball. This grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball and softball skills.

Member Spotlight – Brittany Genung

Brittany Genung is a universal banker at US Bank and has been with them for almost four years. She can do anything from process a deposit to opening a new account and/or loan. Brittany obtained a bank operations diploma through American Institute of Bankers. She recently joined the Young Professionals Network of Muscatine to meet young professionals in the community and learn what they do. She loves to meet new people and learn new things! She likes to stay active by working out at the Y, going for walks, taking her two daughters to the park, and anything outside. Her daughters are five and six and they love to keep her busy! Please join YPN in welcoming Brittany to our organization!
